DURATION- The duration of the trip was 4 days. we travelled in the month of mid july went to Manali Rohtang pass.Manali and Rohtang pass can be covered in 2 -3days.
My sister accompanied me in this trip. After work and dinner we headed towards the bus stop.
From Majnua-ka-Tila, we boarded Dev Travel’s semi sleeper Volvo bus for Manali which started at 9.30 PM. We booked tickets through Redbus at the cost of Rs 1500/- I am a person who loves to travel long distances but during the journey of manali i fell asleep . It was a very tiring night after work.
Next day in the morning my sister woke me up and i realized we were in the mountains. Around 6 AM the bus reached Mandi. As soon as we got down, could hear a steady burble of running water.
The bus stopped for refreshments and tea . Everything was changed till then my skin felt the cold breeze, I was amazed to see clear blue sky, mountains, green land.
After having some tea we resumed our journey for Manali on soft sunrays of early morning unfolded the mystery of that burble, ‘The Bias. We crossed the bridge where we saw the Sangam of two rivers BIAS and PARVATI. The view was very mesmerizing. It was the very first time I saw intertwined rivers .

Exploring the country side of manali from the window, witnessing the apple tress/gardens, numerous colour full orchids of roses, waving at the local people on the roads/shops with all the excitement We reached manali.
We quickly got off the bus took our bagpacks and hired a auto Cost rupee 200 for mall road manali. We had already booked our hotel Silmong garden. Rooms were moderate, decorated with nice furniture however the manager and stuffs were very friendly. We got freshen up and came for our lunch at mall road. It stared drizzling and the atmosphere was magical. The sun was about to set I finally witnessed the snow capped mountains along with a beautiful rainbow The reflection of rainbow turned the mountain into a different colour. The view , atmosphere, cold breeze everything turned that place into magic.

After enjoying that view We went to the government travel agency shop to hire a cab for Rohtang pass. We also needed a permit for the visit. They charged us around 4 thousand for the trip and arranged the permit for us. We met the cab driver who was a very decent man . We then enjoyed the banana cake in the bakery shop which was delicious and decided to return back to our hotel for some sleep as the Rohtang journey was 3-4 hours from manali and we had to start at 2.30 am to avoid the traffic.
We were all ready to visit Rohtang pass. It was very dark so we could only see the roads with the help of headlight.
In case you are not carrying enough warm cloths, don’t worry, you will find ample to rent before Rohtang Pass at a cost of Rs 250/- per head and boots at a cost of Rs 150/- head 200/- Dresses. Rent also decided depending on the number of people in the group.
After Showing the permit on the check point we headed towards the destination. It was a full moon night The snow capped mountains were sparkling like diamonds. It was -2 degree and we were frozen but the curiosity kept us awake and moving to get there. Sometimes it's the journey that teaches you a lot about your destination.

We reached Rohtang exactly during the sunrise I don't remember the exact time or date but I do remember the magnificent Sunrise right infront of my eyes , my numb feet, and cold breeze. The view was breathtaking. No camera can do the justice.

Truly quoted by someone "Follow what you are genuinely passionate about and let that guide you to your destination". It was around 9 am and we saw hundreds of tourists visiting towards the pass and soon the magical place turned into crowded place with so many cars and people, chai wala , Maggie stoles .
We decided to head back to manali after making a SNOW MAN.

On the way back we saw beautiful curvy roads, Rigid mountains and The clouds were chasing us through out the ride Like they were saying " we will meet again ". With so many beautiful memories , A beautiful smile on our face we headed back to Manali.
