Chhatarpur Temple is officially known as Shri Aadya Katyayani Shakti Peeth. The temple is located in Chhatarpur, South Delhi.

This temple was established by Baba Sant Nagpal jii , in 1974.

This temple was considered to be the first largest temple in delhi and second largest temple in the world before the establishment of Akshardham Temple ,New Delhi in 2005.

The main dynasty of this temple is  Ma Katyayani. 🌸🙏 There once was a great sage named Katyayan.He was one among the many, ardent devotees of Goddess Durga. One day, he performed many austere penances so that he can have the Supreme Goddess herself as his daughter if she is pleased. 
Upon being pleased with his dedication towards her, goddess Durga appeared before him and assured him that she will surely reincarnate in the world again as his daughter. True to the word of the great Goddess, she reincarnated as his daughter, whose name was Katyayani (the daughter of Katyayan). On the other hand , Mahishasur had cruel and inhuman intension. He performed harsh and severe penances to appease Lord Brahma . He God the Boon ( vardan )that No Man in this earth will ever be able to kill him.  Mahishasur's reign of terror and torture spread to the three worlds.

Knowing about katyayani Lord Bramha, vishnu and mahesh went to the aashram. Daw that she is the most powerful, who is Mahashakti herself, the Gods offered to her their powers and their weapons as worship.
She was given a trident, lotus, mace, sword, shield, bell, bow, arrow, battle-axe and a lasso for each of her hands. Seeing his daughter, representing the Supreme Goddess armed and empowered, Katyayan and the Gods sang hymns in praise of Katyayani before she set out to kill Mahishasur.


On her way, she began to roar viciously, causing the earth to shudder terribly, clouds striking lightning that caused storms and forest fires. Mahishasur understood that his time of death had come and gathered all his demon armies to fight the great Goddess. Encountering Mahishasura and his armies, embodied with violent rage, Katyayani ruthlessly slew all of them wherever she went in the battlefield, causing a massive bloodbath. Finally, the goddess killed Mahishasur by the three sharp prongs of her trident, liberating the Gods and inhabitants of earth from his reign of fear and terror, thus earning her the name "Mahishasura Mardini" (the killer of Mahishasura).❤️


This Temple is constructed from marble and there is perforated stone or latticed screen work.

There are thousands of devotees who visit here during Navratri. The temple of Godess katyayani is open only during Navratra's.

1) By Trains -

3) Jagdish Temple -

This temple is Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, is a peaceful place to be. Anyone who visits here adores the beautiful structure of the temple made by hand carvings and huge stones! It is amazing to see such ancient architecture well preserved till date. One should definitely not miss the "Aarti" performed at this temple.

4) Sajjangarh Fort -

     Also known as Monsoon palace offers a panoramic view of the city lakes , palaces and the whole city . The fort is not so well maintained but people visit here to watch the beauty of aravali hills and the mesmerizing Sunset.

How to Reach - 

Monsoon palace is located on outskirts of Udaipur , you can hire a taxi/auto-rickshaw or jeep to reach the hill top gate. The hired auto or car is only allowed till the gate then you have to purchase a ticket for the Jeep ride till the fort. Only personal scooty/Bikes are allowed till the fort.

6) Dharohar Folk Dance Show -

     

 Bagore ki haveli is a museum during the day time and hosts Dharohar Rajasthani folk dance show during the evening.

The introduction of the show began with beating of the drum and beautiful welcoming Song kesariya Balam.

 We Saw -

1) The Charging Dance - 

     The dancers dances with ignited brass pots on     their heads.

2) The Terha Taal Dance -

     In this dance form , The dancers play 13 different types of manjiras tied on their hands and legs. 

3) The Ghumar Dance- 

     A happy dance , where the dancers dance in rhythmic circles to the music.

4) The Rajasthani Puppet Show -

    The show was hugely popular , specially for the kids. They loved the show.

5) The Bhavai Dance -

    The dancers dances with earthen pots on their head.

     It is a popular tourist place in Udaipur.

India Gate is the Icon of Delhi located at the eastern end of Rajpath. It is originally called as the All India War Memorial formerly called Kingsway.

The India Gate is inspired by the Arc-de-Triomphe in Paris. It Stands 42 meters tall. 

India Gate is a memorial to 80,000+ soldiers of Indian Army who died in the period 1914-21 in First World War . 

Amar Jawan Jyoti is an Indian memorial located in India Gate Delhi. It was  constructed after the Indo-Pak War of 1971 to commemorate the martyred and unknown soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces who died during the war.

Summer Evenings are very crowded in India Gate. You can easily find many hawkers selling corns , balloons, toys, accessories . You will also find lots of eating options like tikki chat, momos, bhelpuri, icecream, panipuri etc.

You can easily reach India Gate from Rajiv Chowk metro station or Central Secretariat metro station.There are other possible metro stations as well where people can drop by and reach India Gate. The nearest station is Central Secretariat at the yellow line from where you can take an sharing auto rickshaw/cab and reach the place.

         issues with a friend suddenly my rickshaw   

                       driver interrupted saying -     

  

"Madam One day People's mindset will definitely Change but it is going to take some time . After all, this is Our India, you can't expect things to happen overnight," he added with a smile.
